As a 1st Shift Press Brake Operator, you will play a vital role in our production process, ensuring precision and quality in every piece. You will work closely with our production team to assist operators, use hand/power tools, interpret blueprints, and maintain high safety and efficiency standards. Responsibilities

  • Operate Equipment Safely: Utilize best practices daily to ensure safe operation of all equipment and portable hand/power tools.

  • Promote a Positive Work Environment: Treat all co-workers with dignity and respect, fostering a collaborative and supportive atmosphere.

  • Review Job Paperwork: Thoroughly understand job paperwork and specifications before commencing production.

  • Perform General Fabrication duties to achieve a balanced workflow in support of subsequent manufacturing processes; Separating laser cut parts from their parent sheet, removing tabs, deburring, oxide removal, chamfer, drill, ream, tap, vibratory deburring, deburr and edge rounding, resistance welding and metal finishing.

  • Interpret Blueprints: Read and understand, dimensions, and tolerances.

  • Utilize Inspection Equipment: Proficiently use digital calipers, height gauges, protractors, and other inspection tools to ensure precision.

  • Validate Parts: Ensure parts meet customer specifications through first-piece and in-process verification.

  • Keep job paperwork and parts organized and properly stacked for subsequent operations

  • Meet Productivity Goals: Safely achieve quality and productivity expectations for all products run.

  • Package Products: Follow packaging instructions meticulously to prepare products for shipment.

  • Demonstrate Reliability: Exhibit outstanding punctuality and attendance.

  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support overall production goals.

  • 4 x 10 hour work days Mon thru Thur / 3 day weekends for employees.

  • Very Clean, well-lit, metal fabrication facility utilizing the latest industry equipment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Highschool/GED or better

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, with the ability to use job-related inspection equipment and gauges.

  • Ability to use electric, hand and pneumatic tools as well as secondary manufacturing equipment

  • Strong organizational abilities, along with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs. and standing continuously for the duration of the scheduled work shift.

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a self-directed work environment.

  • Previous general metal fabrication experience is preferred. However, we are willing to train candidates who demonstrate good mechanical aptitude, reliability, a desire to learn metal fabrication practices, and is commitmented to outstanding quality and safety performance.
