Our team is crucial to our success in delivering quality metal products. As a 1st Shift Press Brake Operator, you will play a key role in our production process, ensuring precision and quality in every piece. You will work closely with our production team to set up and operate press brake machines, interpret blueprints, and maintain high standards of safety and efficiency. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will help us continue to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations.
Responsibilities
Operate Equipment Safely: Utilize best practices daily to ensure safe operation of all equipment.
Operate in a safe manner every day
Foster a positive environment, always treating co-workers with dignity and respect.
Review and understand job paperwork before running production.
Tack, stitch or weld components and assemblies using MIG, TIG or Robotic welding equipment.
Analyzes engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly and welding operations ensuring selected welding methodology meets customer specifications.
Lays out, positions or fixtures parts securely in accordance with print specifications. Develops templates and fixtures to best hold and align parts; Welds in the position to achieve the best weld joint.
Performs pre-weld and post-weld processes to ensure proper fit up and finished weld appearance.
Grind or polish welds to meet customer specifications, the better the weld the less grinding.
Read Blueprints; Understand isometric and orthographic projections. Read and understand weld symbols.
Validate parts meet customer specifications, 1st piece and in-process verification.
Achieve an exemplary level of quality performance with the goal of zero defects.
Safely meet productivity expectations for products run.
Package products per packaging instructions
Other duties as assigned with an emphasis fabrication equipment cross training.

Qualifications
Education
Required
Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols; ability to use job-related inspection equipment/gages.
Good organizational, verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lift 40 lbs.; ability to stand continuously for scheduled work shift.
Work independently or in a team in a self-directed work environment.
Previous Welding experience or Technical College Certificate preferred but will train a candidate who possesses good mechanical aptitude, is reliable, has a desire to learn how to weld and is committed to outstanding quality and safety performance.
Shift Information: Monday -Thursday 6:00 am to 4:00 pm
