As Quality Manager, you will play a vital role in our production process, ensuring precision and quality in every piece. You will work closely with our President, Vice President, and other management to plan and implement the Quality Management System, ensuring that our products and services meet or exceed expectations while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Operate Equipment Safely: Utilize best practices daily to ensure safe operation of all equipment.

  • Promote a Positive Work Environment: Build morale through effective peer-to-peer relationships being a positive resource for all employees. Fosters a positive environment, always treating co-workers with dignity and respect

  • Maintains and continually improves a documented, customer compliant quality system, based on the best practices of ISO 9001:2015, with the end goal of achieving outstanding customer satisfaction

  • Acts as the primary point of customer contact in support of the Quality Management System, promoting a ‘can do’ spirit, always representing Pro Metal Works, Inc. in a positive manner

  • Overall responsibility for quality planning involving new product introduction (APQP) and revisions to existing products (ECN)

  • Generate Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and First Article (FAIR) documentation per customer requirements

  • Identifies critical characteristics, implements appropriate process controls

  • Implement mistake proofing to fortify process controls

  • Directs the corrective action process using 8D Problem Solving techniques, ensuring a 360-degree process

  • Maintains a gauge calibration system that controls measuring equipment

  • Perform 1st piece, in-process and receiving inspection; perform audits of finished product

  • Perform Internal Audits in support of the Quality Management System

  • Train employees on measuring equipment/gages and use of our quality management system

  • Drives identified Continual Improvement Projects

  • Coach, mentor, and develop direct reports.

  • 4 x 10 hour work days Mon thru Thur / 3 day weekends for employees.

  • Very Clean, well-lit, metal fabrication facility utilizing the latest industry equipment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred

  • 5 years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Outstanding ability to review customer specifications and blueprints

  • Proficiency with precision measuring equipment and tools

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction

  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and applications, including Microsoft Office

  • Experienced in problem solving and continuous improvement techniques

  • Excellent organizational, verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to switch from an office to a shop floor environment on a continual basis
