Our team is crucial to our success in delivering quality metal products. As a 1st Shift Press Brake Operator, you will play a key role in our production process, ensuring precision and quality in every piece. You will work closely with our production team to set up and operate press brake machines, interpret blueprints, and maintain high standards of safety and efficiency. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will help us continue to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate Equipment Safely: Utilize best practices daily to ensure safe operation of all equipment.

  • Promote a Positive Work Environment: Treat all co-workers with dignity and respect, fostering a collaborative and supportive atmosphere.

  • Review Job Paperwork: Thoroughly understand job paperwork and specifications before commencing production.

  • Set-Up and Operate CNC Press Brake: Configure machines according to established setup sheets, load and execute programs to manufacture customer products accurately.

  • Interpret Blueprints: Read and understand isometric and orthographic projections, dimensions, and tolerances.

  • Utilize Inspection Equipment: Proficiently use digital calipers, height gauges, protractors, and other inspection tools to ensure precision.

  • Validate Parts: Ensure parts meet customer specifications through first-piece and in-process verification.

  • Ensure Quality: Present blanks correctly to gauging to maintain zero-defect quality standards.

  • Meet Productivity Goals: Safely achieve quality and productivity expectations for all products run.

  • Package Products: Follow packaging instructions meticulously to prepare products for shipment.

  • Demonstrate Reliability: Exhibit outstanding punctuality and attendance.

  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support overall production goals.

Qualifications

Education

Required

Highschool/GED or better

Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, with the ability to use job-related inspection equipment and gauges.

Strong organizational abilities, along with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs. and standing continuously for the duration of the scheduled work shift.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a self-directed work environment.

Previous experience with press brake operations is preferred. However, we are willing to train candidates who demonstrate good mechanical aptitude, reliability, a desire to learn how to set up and efficiently run CNC equipment, and a commitment to outstanding quality and safety performance.

Preferred

OSHA Forklift Certification

2+ years’ experience operating CNC press brake machines.

Relevant certifications in CNC operation or metal fabrication.

Demonstrated strong mechanical skills and problem-solving abilities.

Experience in leading or mentoring a team in a manufacturing environment.

Shift Information: Monday -Thursday 6:00 am to 4:00 pm
